WM18cW.Bro Benedict Charles Lewis Allen (Ben) was installed as the 18th Master of the lodge at the annual installation ceremony in Manchester U.K. on 21st March 2015.

Ben is 33 years old and lives in Walthamstow London. He is the first Worshipful Master of the lodge to have been initiated into Freemasonry within the lodge.

He became a Freemason on 11th August 2007 when he was initiated at the Lodge meeting in Rugby. By coincidence the Worshipful Master of the lodge on that occasion was W.Bro Charles Lewis a Past Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of North Carolina

W.Bro Lawrence Porter the then Immediate Past Master conducted the ceremony and the Junior Deacon for the occasion was Ben's very proud father Rob Allen who has been a member of the lodge since 2001.
Of course Rob was present and played a big part in Ben's installation as also was W.Bro Charles Lewis who had flown in from North Carolina especially for the occasion.

Of the 86 members and guests who attended there were 21 who had travelled from outside the U.K. The Provincial Grand Master was representd by W.Bro Warwick Davenport PSGD, PAPrGM who first visited the lodge in 1998 and has visited on a number of other occasions. We were also honoured by the presence as Ben's guest of RWBro Air Marshall Sir Ronald Ian Stuart-Paul K.B.E. a Past Junior Grand Warden of the United Grand Lodge of EnglandOfficersBen invested W.Bro Alan Turton from Rotheram in Yorkshire as his Senior Warden and Carl Freeland who lives in Skopje,Macedonia as his Junior Warden. He is pictured here with some of his officers.

Ben delivered an inspiring Inagural Address

After the meeting we enjoyed an excellent Festive Board.

The Installation was the main part of a most enjoyable social weekend with many gathering in the Hilton West hotel on the Friday evening for a buffet meal, a few drinks and much talk and laughter. On Saturday evening some visited the theatre whilst others that remained in Manchester dined out together or socialised in the hotel.

Meeting with Brethren and their ladies from all over the world and sharing tales and experiences both within Freemasonry and generally is a very rewarding aspect of membership of Internet Lodge.
