Categories of Awards

There will be three or more categories of award.

The Northampton Award

This is the main Award and is for the paper which the Judges consider to be the best of all those submitted.

The World Award

This is for the best short paper submitted by a Mason who is not a member of a Lodge within the United Grand Lodge of England.

The Nova Award

This is for the best paper by a Brother who has been a member of the Craft for less than five years (at the closing date of competition entry) and who has not been Master of a Lodge. The maximum number of words for a paper in this category is 1500. However if a paper is more than 500 words it is not eligible for any other category of Award.

The Judging Panel  reserve the right to add further categories of Award if they deem it necessary.
