We will be based in Limassol at the Pefkos (City) Hotel

Pefkos

Located close to the old town of Limassol and Limassol Marina, the family-run Pefkos Hotel features an outdoor swimming pool with a sun terrace. It offers rooms that open to a balcony, enjoying Mediterranean Sea views. Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas.

All rooms come with a satellite TV, mini fridge and air conditioning. They also have a bathroom with a hairdryer, free toiletries and a bath or shower.

A buffet breakfast is daily offered at Pefkos’ dining area. You can also enjoy a drink at the pool bar or try local and international specialties at the on-site restaurant. The shopping centre is within walking distance.

Limassol Port is 2.4 miles from the property, while Ladies Mile Beach can be reached within a 5-minute drive. Larnaca International Airport is approximately 43.5 miles away, and the international airport of Paphos is at a distance of 37.3 miles.

Booking the hotel.

Double Standard rooms (with breakfast) are available from the hotel at the discounted rate of 75 Euros (£63) per night. To obtain this rate you have to say that these are the rooms that Marios Pantelides \ Nigel Coombs arranged. The hotel telephone is +357 25 660066. It has however been reported that rooms can be booked at a somewhat lower rate by using the well known Internet booking sites. (Expedia.com, Bookings.com, Hotels.com etc). Superior rooms are available as is half board at increased prices. On some of these sites it is possible to book on a cancellable basis with no advanced payment. Early booking is recommended.

Monday 11th May

Early arrivals will check in to the hotel

Tuesday 12th May

The official first day.

In the evening we will visit a lodge in Limassol which will be followed by a white table dinner including ladies.

Wednesday 13th May

A trip to the Troodos mountains and the highly acclaimed Krkkos Monastery. Light lunch in a local restaurant. Return to the hotel 4:00 p.m. 

There will be a "Welcome to Cyprus " dinner in the hotel.
This will be a superb buffet meal (see the Menu here) including "unlimited consumption" of local wines, beers and soft drinks etc. We hope to be joined by local freemasons'
It promises to be an excellent eveningt and is extremely good value at just £22.00p per head. Bookings on the lodge bookings pages. 

Thursday 14th May

This is the day of the Peter Lowndes Golf Competition. Golfers may participate and others may if they wish attend the Presentation Lunch. Golfers will find an entry form here. Note bookings for the golf close 31st March at the latest. Those wishing to go to the lunch only (14:00 hrs) can book on the lodge booking site (£27 - closing date 30th April) Otherwise the day is free for you to enjoy

Friday 15th May

A day of leisure to enable you to enjoy whatever you wish, whether relaxation or the opportunity to explore the island further,

Saturday 16th May

District Grand Chapter and District Grand Lodge will hold annual meetings. These will be followed by a white table dinner with the Ladies. More information can be found here and here. Members can book on the lodge booking site (£39 - closing date 30th April).

There is much to do for the ladies in Limassol including places of interest such as the castle and cathedral. More worrying is the availabilty of retail therapy. Old Limassol town is also quite quaint.

Sunday 17th May

It may be possible to arrange a trip during the day.

karatello tavernIn the evening there will be a "Farewell" dinner at the Karatello Tavern which is about two miles from the hotel.

Karatello traditional tavern has managed to stand out with its genuine Cypriot cuisine, promoting the well-known, local flavours and scents through recipes adapted to the standards of the modern culinary art. The innovative meze dishes, and the option to create your own meze combination has made the tavern stand out. 

The menu wil be the meze. The cost is £20. A small charge for transport will be payable locally on the day.

 

Monday 18th May

This will be departure day for some but others may choose to extend their stay. The W.M. will be leaving on Wednesday May 20th.
