Are you a Freemason looking for information about the Craft or just a curious person willing to understand what is about Freemasonry in general?
If so, then this is the right place to start.
Welcome to the website of Internet Lodge No. 9659 in the Province of East Lancashire under the United Grand Lodge of England. The main distinguishing features of this Lodge are its international orientation as well as its size. Almost 620 members from 100 different Constitutions around the world reflect a wide diversity of languages and cultures. From Europe to Australia, and from Brazil to Japan, our members share their masonic knowledge and develop strong relationships, using the benefit of modern communications technology.
We meet physically three times per year in various locations within the UGLE territory (essentially England and Wales) but, between meetings, much of our work is taking place online, via our e-mail list, Zoom meetings and lectures, and this web site. Our members are in close contact, collaborating on various projects, to share their Masonic knowledge, to visit each other, to become involved in charity activities, or just to spend quality friendship moments together. A fourth meeting, being a fraternal visit to a different country, can be decided by the Worshipful Master.
Our meeting locations are chosen every year by the incoming Worshipful Master, as mentioned in his Manifesto, and, for 2024, our activities will be held in:
1. Manchester Masonic Hall, Bridge St., for installation meeting on Saturday March 16th, 2024.
2. Fraternal visit to Corfu Greece, May 24th-28th, 2024.
3. Cardinal Masonic Hall, Oxford, for summer meeting on Saturday August 10th, 2024.
4. Rotherham Golf Club, for autumn meeting on Saturday October 12th, 2024.
Please enjoy your visit to our website.

We are pleased to publish an Introduction to English Freemasonry, which is based on an original idea by the Grand Lodge of Western Australia. It attempts to explain much about English Freemasonry and is particularly intended to be of help to Freemasons of different constitutions.
